Friday, 21 September 2007
On our hundred and second program, Attorneys David J. Hart and Andrea Olivos-Kah discuss the newly published “U” visa regulations and today’s introduction of the DREAM Act as an amendment to a Senate Defense Department authorization bill. The “U” visa would grant legal status to foreign nationals who are victims of crimes, and the DREAM Act would grant legal status and a path to legal permanent residency to young people who wish to pursue higher education or service in the military. Both news items are also covered in postings dated September 6 and September 17, respectively.
